Neptune.gif (118656 bytes)

Neptune is the next to the last planet in the Solar system. It is about thirty times as far away from the Sun as the earth, and takes about 165 years to go around the Sun. Neptune was discovered in 1846 by Leverrier, so, by 2011, Neptune will be back where it was when it was first discovered.

For the astrological symbolism of Neptune, see the page on this site entitled Free Primer.
